Ardevae began with a simple stubbornness: nothing leaves the workshop until someone has asked for it. Every table, bed and wardrobe is made to order, drawn around the room it will live in and the people who will use it every day.
We work in walnut, oak, ash and teak, with stone, linen, leather and brass. The wood is chosen board by board, and the grain decides much of the design. Nothing is hurried, because hurried work shows.
The Himalayas taught us patience—snow, stone and cedar that hold their shape for lifetimes. We build in that spirit: unhurried, honest, quietly luxurious, and made to be handed down rather than replaced.
